This was an overall nice property with nice location, beautiful beach and pools. The food truck and tacos by the pool were hits for our midday lunch/snack. The buffet always had something we could enjoy. Disappointed in their process for getting into their restaurants and that their room service ends promptly at 11 pm. Their drinks also never tasted like quality alcohol. For those reasons we’d likely look to stay at a different resort next time.

For this price point, the overall hotel was lacking. We have stayed at several other hotels on the cheaper and higher end in the area and this just did not meet any of our (group of 8) expectations. The activities both day and night were lacking. Unlike other resorts we did not feel like the staff (despite a few) really went out of their way to say hello or check in on how things were going. However the very last day there was a noticeable change in all the staff's treatment of all guests. There was a strong presence of more management around. I do wish that would have been the case all week during our stay. Most days no one said a word to us at breakfast and on our last day we must have had 10 people ask how we were and how they could help us. I do want to mention the staff members that did take the time to connect with us during our stay - the day time entertainment team members were super nice - esp Jimmy who remembered our names and where we were from after just the 1st day and went out of his way to say hi to us. Raul at the bistro was fantastic, Roger at the El Maguey was great for lunch. Also, Santiago and the entire swim up bar staff was the best part of our stay. We did 2 nights in the regular building and 3 nights with swim out rooms and they were so much better. They are way more expensive, but we did think it was worth it as the rooms have a better layout, views are amazing and the seating area was great. All in all I would not go back here.

Limited space, otherwise I’d write a book of a review. The rooms we booked were unavailable. They put us in two kings for 6 people. Told us they’d get us the correct rooms when available. 2 of our kids had to sleep on cots. Then they gave those rooms promised to someone else. Finally got in them after 2 days. No discount or refund. Restaurants have no availability. Always full. They send you to the buffet. Hotel rooms old, dark and dirty. No chairs available on beach or at pool. Always occupied by people’s items but no actual people. Buffet food okay but not great. Limited staff. No ice cream bar outside. It’s closed. Staff gives you different answers about everything. Late check out is 15 dollars per room per hour. Only 3 elevators for entire hotel and no stairs. Stairs are emergency exit with alarm only. Filtered water in large glass bottles. Bring your own water bottle. Air conditioner is very loud in rooms. Keeps you awake at night. There are plenty of other hotels in Cancun. Do not stay here no matter how good of a deal you might get. Trust me on this. They are trying to cut too many corners to save money. Also the pool is cold. Heater must be turned off.

We stayed in an ocean-facing room with a balcony, which was absolutely beautiful. The resort occupies an excellent location right on the beach, boasting white sand and turquoise blue water. During our stay, we did not encounter any seaweed. The standout feature of the resort is the large infinity pool with a bar, which was a highlight for us. The property offers a variety of activities and nightly shows, providing good entertainment options. However, our experience with the all-inclusive food was mixed. We had one vegetarian guest in our group, and the vegetarian options were quite basic and limited. There seemed to be a lack of understanding of vegetarian cuisine. Additionally, getting onto the waitlist for specialty restaurants was nearly impossible unless you arrived before 6 PM. The guest service did not always meet expectations. At times, staff were rude and lacked empathy, especially when handling requests that fell outside their routine. The approach felt more like they wanted to dismiss the request rather than create a pleasant service experience. Overall, while the resort offers some excellent amenities and entertainment, there are areas, especially food variety and guest service, that could be improved.

We stayed at the pool villa, but the facility was unprecedentedly poor.. the toilet got broken every morning and the ceiling fan was also noisy and looks like it will fall off soon. This was our 5th trip to Cancun over the holidays and our first time at Iberostar. Overall, the accommodations were average. The buffet was OK, compared to others, but the service at times was lacking. One standout was the restaurants, they were top notch. That said, make sure you get there early to put your bar on the list as they don’t take reservations. The pools were clean but again, the service was lacking. If you wanted food or drink you were better off going to the bar on your own. Not a big issue but for what we paid we expected more. The biggest pro, which we loved was access to the beach. Located immediately behind the pool it was easy to jump between the two. Our teenage girls loved this setup. Also, not having to fight for lounge chair was a bonus. Finally, they could use more than one location for coffee. The cafe is nice but gets crowded, especially in the morning. They may want to consider a few self serve coffee stations throughout the resort. This would be a big win for those just looking for their morning caffeine.

Good room after I had to pay more money to upgrade. The original room was not good at all. The staff for friendly and very nice. The resort credit system, you MUST CHANGE. The fact that you require customers to spend additional money ($100 spend to receive $25 credit) is absurd. What's the purpose of offering resort credit? The food was good. Overall very accommodating and nice.

The staff are nice and aren’t pushy. Great customer care. The room is nice but could be cleaner on the blinds, the outdoor section. The beach and sand quality is amazing. There aren’t any hotel next to it so it feel private and not crowded.
