"The taxes in the city made it almost unrealistic to stay in the hotel. It was a splurge to stay anyway but the taxes made it where I won't come back. the hotel was good, the pricing was ridiculous."

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Nashville West End - Univ Area by IHG
"Staff was wonderful. The breakfast was incredible! They offered so many convenient and simply comforting amenities. Paula at the front desk was exceptionally kind, personable, an accommodating. She made any lobby experience enjoyable with her warmth. The only available parking is valet at $54 a night, which I find to be a bit extreme. Fortunately, I was able to find an overnight lot less than a block away from the hotel for $24 a day. I got a full 48 hours for $4 now than what I would have paid for 24 hours at the hotels valet. The pool was wonderful, but it's on the third floor roof and there is no shade. I was burning my thighs on the chairs and my feet on the ground to an almost unbearable degree. I also had nowhere to put my phone to get it out of the heat, risking damage to the device. A few umbrellas would make all the difference. Other than that, or stay was perfect. I definitely plan on returning to this location in the future when I'm in Nashville."
