Book a hotel near Yerba Buena Ice Skating Center, Downtown San Francisco

"A 16 story but small hotel, only about 10 rooms per floor. It is old but kept up. It is reasonably priced. The room was an adequate size with a large walk in closet. The beds and pillows are comfortable.The only public facility in the building appears to be a small bar, but they make up for it with numerous freebies: coffee, fruit, candy and excellent cookies. It is very close to Union Square, and a cable car line is right in front. There is also all kinds of public transportation nearby. So are many huge hotels, new and old. It is therefore crowded but there are also a lot of restaurants and stores right there. You could probably pay a lot more without getting anything better."

"Excellent hotel. I have visited San Francisco in numerous occasions and, for price and value, this is the best hotel in downtown SF. The restaurant could benefit from a wider choice of menu, but there are plenty of places to eat nearby. Recommend the Indian restaurant Amber India. Great food and excellent service. For a quick bite, try The Chieftain Irish pub by the corner."
