A truly magical stay at St. George

Ocean view delight with minor problems

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The windows and deck with ocean view were awesome. Had to fix handle on sliding door when we arrived also tv went out 2 days before we left and was told couldn't be fixed until the date we left. But overall, very nice experience.

The view was great. The beds were comfortable. The maintenance company was very responsive. Everything worked. The house seemed very unloved--it needed repairs. The ceiling had water damage. The cabinets were old and junky. The dish washer and dryer were very loud. There was unpainted trim on the floor of the bathrooms. One of the toilets was incorrectly installed. The rustic patio furniture was falling apart. The roof dripped in the middle of the entrance stair/walkway and it was slippery. It functioned as advertised, but it is not what I expected in a beach front house. I would not stay there again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location & price were absolutely wonderful. The first thing we noticed was a handle to the sliding door was gone. Not broken, but just not there. It was a challenge to get in & out that door. Another thing we noticed was the coffee pot clearly had not been cleaned. There was a couple of cob webs & dust around the house.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Prima Villa could be an incredible vacation home. However, it could really use a little TLC. There were a few things that need to be repaired - the toilet in one of the bathrooms is loose and bangs against the wall when you sit on it, one of the sliding glass doors' handle is off, kitchen sink faucet leaks, kitchen is sparsely stocked, the picnic table on the screened in porch is falling apart. the location and layout of the house is fantastic but the interior of the house could use a little care. It appears the owners don't do anything to upkeep the house and it is falling into disrepair. All that said, the house was clean and the location is great. We had a fabulous week at SGI.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was perfect! The AC worked great & the house was clean. Things that could be fixed: a door Handle, toilet in one Bathroom was very loose & would bang on the wall, one bathroom had hot water the other not so much. They need a new coffee maker (It took 45 min to make a pot of coffee). There was mold and rust around some of the air vents. I'm used to having basic condiments in the house and there were none. In addition, only one trash bag, 2 TP rolls & one paper towel roll were provided (again, I'm used to having more in the house).All in all we had a good time, but I do think they could take a couple of days to do some fixes around the place.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First off, I can’t say enough about working with Suncoast. They answered every crazy email, call etc that I sent in a very quick manner. We arrived to Prima Villa on a Sunday. The house was clean, every bedroom had their own set of towels and bathrooms were stocked too. Kitchen has pretty much anything you need as well. Bedrooms are nice. There are no TVs except in living room but we didn’t care. Beds were comfortable as well. Beach access right off the deck is a huge plus. We did have issues with the WiFi. As soon as we called, they sent someone out. This was not the house or the rental property. This was the service and it happened to be out on the whole island. If you’re looking for a fancy place, this def isn’t it BUT if you’re looking for a place where you can make memories, feel at home, and see wonderful views, check out Prima Villa! We will be back next summer.

Great View, lacking rental company support

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a great location with short walk to the beach as this house is beach front. The appliances were working, the beds were clean. This house is older with older sinks, toilets, and showers. We were without ac/heat for 4 of the nights we stayed here. The rental company sent repair guys, but never called to check on us. We had to call daily to find out if it was going to be fixed, as well as have repair men in our house those 4 days while trying to fix the unit. I am very disappointed with the way we were treated as repeat renters from this company to reconcile this incident.

Wonderful experience

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our rental wasn't gonna be available this trip, so we took a gamble on Prima Villa. The home was very cozy, we rather enjoyed it. It had everything our family needed except a cheese grater. The beds were very comfortable. It would be nice if the house had some gutters. It wasn't fun walking down the steps having water dripping on you. I used extra caution because I fell down some steps back in August that were wet and tore my MCL. That could become un safe for someone if they're going down and accidentally slip from the water that drips from the roof. That would be my only complaint. My mother was bummed there wasn't a TV in the bedroom. She likes to lay in bed and watch TV every night prior to going to sleep. Besides the gutters, that was her only complaint. Because of the water that drips on you as you're cautiously walking down the steps I give it 3 out of 5 stars. I would recommend the place to anyone, but I personally won't stay again unless changes are made with the water dripping on the steps. I have a major fear of falling down steps that are wet!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Prima Villa is overall a good property to rent. However, it absolutely could use some updating. There were two spots on the ceiling where the ceiling was coming off. It rained when we came so we needed to utilize the DVD player and the player and TV are so outdated that we had to remove the rust on the cords to put them in. The DVD player was disconnected when we got there and again it's so dated that it was difficult to figure out where everything went. The location of the property is perfect. We rent this property repeatedly not because of the actual house (again... very dated) but because of the location. The carpets need replacing with probably just hardwood. You can tell they are very dirty and never professionally cleaned. We just wear socks most of the time to avoid walking on it. The main bedroom light has to be cut on and off several times to get the light to come on. The smoke detector went off everytime we opened the oven to remove whatever we were cooking so someone had to stand there and fan the detector while another opened the oven. One sliding glass door is very difficult to open but my husband is able to do it. This most recent time when we went there were a few dirty washcloths and hair from the previous guest in one of the bathrooms. Management offered to send a cleaning crew to clean again but we declined as I had already cleaned and Cloroxed everything. With all that being said, if you can deal with those things, the property's location is really great. The covered porch area is great. Overall, we have a good time and make good memories at Prima Villa.

Nice place for the price!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hard to find anything first row for this price, but limit your expectations. The rooms were clean. A bit rustic. Furnishings were minimal. Dryer didn't work very well. The kitchen was not as stocked as we are accustomed. The baths could use some minor updates. Not all slider doors worked very well. Owners could put some $$ in it and it would be much better. Suncoast does a great job in property management. It was beachfront with a beautiful view.

Major maintenance needed!!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Prima Villa had great views but calling it Prima is a joke. Holes in the floor in one bedroom by the sliding door, nickel size hole in the bathroom faucet, deck screws supporting curtain rods and rusty vents and drains were just the beginning. Tried to dry a towel in the rusty dryer. After 2 hours it was still wet and had to call sun coast as the vent was completely clogged. Don’t know if it had ever been cleaned before. Evidently no maintenance is performed unless someone calls the rental agency to fix it. Fry

The one bathroom (with the blue tub) the sink needs to be recaulked. We had to call about the air and they sent someone that evening. Overall it was a great place!

The new furniture and flat screen TV in the great room were very needed and appreciated. The beachfront location is perfect. The outside deck furniture does need to be replaced. Only one of the four chairs was not broken. We have stayed here a number of times and always enjoyed our visit.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We liked this older home because being we are two couples going together, we each had a side of the house with bedrooms and bathroom. Roomy living room and kitchen area. We liked it, reasonably priced accordingly.Wish they would supply dishwasher detergent for the week, but we survived. lol Suncoast Vacation Rental were very nice and helpful too.

Great View, lacking rental company support

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a great location with short walk to the beach as this house is beach front. The appliances were working, the beds were clean. This house is older with older sinks, toilets, and showers. We were without ac/heat for 4 of the nights we stayed here. The rental company sent repair guys, but never called to check on us. We had to call daily to find out if it was going to be fixed, as well as have repair men in our house those 4 days while trying to fix the unit. I am very disappointed with the way we were treated as repeat renters from this company to reconcile this incident.
