"Great location with amazing views!!"
This hotel is an absolutely beautiful historic property in a wonderful location. Our room was smaller than we are used to, but the view and the fact that the windows open up to let in the ocean breeze more than makes up for it. We were a few blocks from the ocean and the seals (a must see!). There are numerous shops and restaurants within walking distance. In addition, the major sites in San Diego were a short drive away. It was nice to spend the day downtown and then return to our quiet retreat in La Jolla. Customer service was great! Thanks to all of the valet guys who assisted us everyday - not only with our car, but with beach chairs, etc to take to the beach for the day. And for asking our son every afternoon about his experience that day - he loved telling his stories to them.

"Wonderful Place to Stay"
Comfortable place to stay. Friendly staff. Next to downtown shops. Easy walk to the Cove and coast walk. We arrived in the middle of the night and our refrigerator didn't work and the night manager immediately upgraded us to a bigger room even though we were happy to wait until the next morning to get it fixed. We would definitely stay again. The continental breakfast was poor. Just coffee. No pastries, cereal, muffins, juice. Just coffee. Odd for a moderately expensive hotel. Excellent iced coffee and apples available later in the afternoon however. Parking was a bit high, $12 a day. Should have been complimentary in my opinion.

"San Diego's hidden gem!"
What a wonderful surprise to find this hidden gem! We were greeted at the front desk with warm smiles and our room was ready ahead of check in time. The pool is very clean and the temp is a nice 72 degrees. Our room was very clean and quiet and complete with a coffee maker and supplies. It was Christmas time and the tree in the lobby and other decorations were just lovely. Even had Christmas carolers in the lobby one night. Front desk staff introduced us to using Uber for the first time and we found that to be the way to go, as far a getting around San Diego. The Hope46 Restaurant food was amazing. And we had the choice to eat inside or out on the covered veranda over looking the pool and bungalows. The hotel is packed with Hollywood History and we really enjoyed stepping back in time to a slower pace and time. We will definitely stay here again and recommend the Lafayette Hotel, swim club and bungalows to all our friends.

"Best hotel ever. "
Manager David and his team including Jordan and Wakeem are awesome! I woke up wishing for waffles on a roof deck, one of many happy memories of our trip. Swimming with seals and enjoying the local park's free concerts, including jazz and the local symphony are two more happy memories. A kitchen and bbq on the hotel grounds made it a perfect vacation spot for families. This hotel has the happiest vibe!

"Harborview Inn San Diego"
This hotel is within steps of Little Italy, coffee shops and the beautiful view of the water. The free parking is a bonus, because most hotels in San Diego charge for parking. For the extremely reasonable price I had a clean shower, Wifi, nice flat screen TV and everything else you would expect in a much more expensive hotel. I would stay there again and recommend to a friend.

"Full service hotel in great location"
This hotel has everything you could want in a hotel - great location, gorgeous lobby, piano bar, 24 hour (delicious) room service, pool, spa, and every room has a balcony, free bottles of water, fridge, coffee maker, and a spacious vanity area. The tiniest 3 improvements could make for a truly perfect stay. They should offer free coffee in the lobby in the morning. Especially because they are stingy on the in-room "refills." I stayed three nights and never got a refill on my coffee pods or soaps - the original soap lasted the four days, but the two coffee pods did not. Finally it is very difficult to find an outlet. I had to pull out the (very heavy) marble nightstand and unplug the bedside lamp so I could plug in my phone. It would be nice if they put a little outlet strip on the nightstands in light of this. So other than coffee, restocking the room, and outlets - none of which are major enough to distract a star - this hotel provides a completely 5 star experience.
