Fun weekend in San Diego. Gaslamp area awesome for fun. Great location for all activities. Hotel Staff friendly, helpful and always smiling at guests. All requests were immediately taken care of. Some noise at night from outside clubs. Nothing that keeps you awake. Would stay again another visit

"walking distance to old town san diego"
Room was very clean and updated. Walking distance to old town and very short drive to airport. Noise level from people in room above was a little loud at times. Choung, the front desk clerk was very nice and helpful. Parking garage was very small so thank goodness we drove a smaller car. overall a decent place.

"Great location with amazing views!!"
This hotel is an absolutely beautiful historic property in a wonderful location. Our room was smaller than we are used to, but the view and the fact that the windows open up to let in the ocean breeze more than makes up for it. We were a few blocks from the ocean and the seals (a must see!). There are numerous shops and restaurants within walking distance. In addition, the major sites in San Diego were a short drive away. It was nice to spend the day downtown and then return to our quiet retreat in La Jolla. Customer service was great! Thanks to all of the valet guys who assisted us everyday - not only with our car, but with beach chairs, etc to take to the beach for the day. And for asking our son every afternoon about his experience that day - he loved telling his stories to them.

"Modern Hotel - minimalist"
You know that the stay will be interesting when you get into the elevator and a random stranger tells you that the sheets are in the drawer. Resisting the urge to reply that the eagle had landed, I inquired as to what he meant. He replied that the hotel used duvets and no top sheet and that if you wanted sheets you had to make your own bed. There is also no closet, no bath tub, no bars or soap and a tiny work space. It's clean and the staff is friendly and extremely helpful, there complimentary bikes and a electric shuttle available.

"Wonderful Place to Stay"
Comfortable place to stay. Friendly staff. Next to downtown shops. Easy walk to the Cove and coast walk. We arrived in the middle of the night and our refrigerator didn't work and the night manager immediately upgraded us to a bigger room even though we were happy to wait until the next morning to get it fixed. We would definitely stay again. The continental breakfast was poor. Just coffee. No pastries, cereal, muffins, juice. Just coffee. Odd for a moderately expensive hotel. Excellent iced coffee and apples available later in the afternoon however. Parking was a bit high, $12 a day. Should have been complimentary in my opinion.

"Great hotel"
Beautiful hotel, very nice rooms. Heated outdoor pool was very nice but a little small when there were quite a few people in it whenever my girls went down to swim. The restaurant and bar were in a different building but just across the parking lot so not far. My only complaint was that the first night we were there, we went to the restaurant and spent about $60. The next evening we went without someone in our 4-person party as she was not feeling well and the waitress gave us 15% off our bill for staying in the hotel. She said you get 15% off if you are staying at the motel and no one had told us this....not the hotel when checking in nor the waitress the night before. Also, the band at the restaurant/bar was a little loud as it was outside and we could hear the pounding from our room until late. Otherwise, the hotel was wonderful
