Village house with pool close to restaurant, bar and shop
Welcome to La Maison des Roses an 18th century stone cottage situated in the village Saint Sernin de Duras.
The village is a perfect location to walk and cycle and to visit the local vineyards. Cycling and walking routes are available in the house.
The nearby bastide town of Duras has a supermarket, tabac, bakers, tea shops, bars, restaurants and the Château. There is a market every Monday and in July and August you can enjoy the night markets where you can experience local produce and local wines. For wine lovers, there are numerous vineyards offering tasting and tours by appointment.
The medieval village, Saint Emilion is one of the most visited sites in France and is only 50 minutes away.
Kayaking nearby at Allemans-Du-Dropt and Port-Sainte-Foy-et-Ponchapt. Just over an hour drive away you will find the Canal de Garonne the perfect location for cycling and walking. If you fancy a day at the seaside, Arcachon is just under 2 hours away.
If you just wish to relax, we have an idyllic garden with private 9 x 4 m pool and terrace (sole use).

Delightful holiday home
Our second time staying at Maison Des Roses. That we came back indicates we like the area and property. Second time was even better than the first. The house felt even more homely - and we had a perfect stay enjoying the garden and pool, with occasional trips out. Everything you need is on hand, it is thoughtfully hosted and well managed on behalf of the owners. Recommended without hesitation. and

Points positifs: Excellente communication avec les propriétaires et la personne du village : Tricia. La maison est propre à notre arrivée + petits cadeaux d invités sur la table. Piscine sécurisée avec alarme,La maison concorde avec l annonce. Axes de progrès : les abords de la piscine ( entretien) et l aspirateur qui ne fonctionne pas bien . Très bon séjour à la maison des Roses, je recommande !

très bon sejour
la terrasse et les abords de la piscine n'étaient pas très propres, et le jardin mérite également d'être mieux entretenu.
La maison reste malgré tout très agréable.

Très bien !
Le gros point fort de cette maison: la grande terrasse/piscine avec la table abritée par un très grand store retractable . Un véritable régal!
Autres points très appréciables: la maison en pierre garde bien la fraîcheur . La personne "contact local" est fort sympathique et compétente, merci ! Bien qu'à distance , les propriétaires sont réactifs aux éventuelles demandes, bravo !
Quand l'isolation phonique sera mise en place, (travaux envisagés mais pas encore effectués en juillet 2021) cette location sera parfaite !

Belle découverte
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans La maison des Roses.
Petit Havre de paix, décoré avec beaucoup de gout et idéalement placé pour découvrir la région.
Visite de Duras, Bergerac, Agen walibi ( pour les enfants), du domaine du Grand Mayne ( belle decouverte gustative) et Monbazillac... Le tout
agrémenté de piscine et d'apéro sur la terrasse.
Nous y reviendrons très certainement.
