Activity itinerary

Day 1: Board the Whitsunday Explorer and cruise to idyllic Cid Harbour
  • 1 stop
  • Meals: snacks
  • Accommodation: Ocean front room on board the Whitsunday Explorer featuring wall-width panoramic window.
Whitsunday Islands National Park
You’ll pass through the Molle Island group, which includes the larger North Molle and South Molle Islands, along with the smaller West Molle, where Daydream Island Resort is located. You'll cross a wide channel of water that Captain Cook sailed through on Sunday 3rd of June, 1770. Captain Cook named this passage 'Whitsunday Passage' after the Christian festival of Pentecost ‘Whit Sunday’, which was celebrated on the same date. The surrounds inspired Captain Cook to name the region the 'Whitsunday' group of islands. We'll anchor at Cid Harbour overnight, a tranquil and spacious harbour, one of the largest in the Whitsundays. Enjoy a memorable sunset before joining dinner in the main saloon. Following dinner, join the Captain and crew on the upper observation deck for star gazing and the identification of celestial constellations.
Day 2: Whitsunday Islands, Whitehaven Beach, Hill Inlet, Aboriginal cave paintings, snorkelling, swimming & kayaking
  • 1 stop
  • Meals: lunch, snacks, breakfast

Enjoy breakfast as we set sail to drop anchor near Whitsunday Island. Board our high-speed rigid inflatable Island Adventurer for a quick transfer to the brilliant white sands of world-famous Whitehaven Beach. Jump back on Island Adventurer for a short cruise up to Tongue Bay and the Hill Inlet Lookout Track. Marvel at the marbled ever-changing patterns created by shallow blue water and moving white silica sand. Refuel with lunch on Whitsunday Explorer as we set sail to Hook Passage. From here we’ll launch the Island Adventurer to explore Nara Inlet and the ancient rock wall paintings of the indigenous Ngaro people. Our final destination for the day is Langford Island – the perfect spot for snorkelling with sheltered waters and coral systems teeming with vibrant marine life including a large population of green turtles. Back onboard our small ship take in the sunset as we cruise to Long Island to anchor. Enjoy dinner in the main saloon at your leisure.
