What you can expect
— Choose Your Path: Kamakura or Hakone –Two routes, one grand finale: whether you pick the coastal nostalgia of Kamakura or the mountain scenery of Hakone, both end at the Atami Sea Fireworks Display.
— Option A: Kamakura & Enoshima (60min~90min) –Cruise along the Shonan coast and catch a glimpse of the famous Kamakura High School railway crossing (car-view), a spot Japanese animation fans may recognise. Then explore the island charm of Enoshima, its vibrant streets and seaside shrines, before heading to Atami.
— Option B: Hakone Lake Ashi & Shrine (90min~120min) –Breathe in the mountain air at Hakone. Board the iconic Pirate Ship for a daytime cruise across Lake Ashi, with a chance to see Mt. Fuji on clear days. Visit the historic Hakone Shrine and its famous “Torii of Peace” standing in the water.
— Atami Sun Beach & Fireworks (2.5 hours) –As evening falls, arrive at Atami Sun Beach and soak up the festival atmosphere. Beach viewing is open to all guests but unreserved, and the sand fills up well before showtime, so claim your spot early. At 20:20, the sky ignites with a professional 20-minute display, famous for its “Natural Acoustic Stadium” effect created by the surrounding mountains.
— Upgrade: Fireworks Viewing Boat (VIP Cruise options only) –Prefer to skip the beach crowds? The “Hakone & Atami Sea Fireworks VIP Cruise” options (Station Meet or Hotel Pickup) include a reserved seat on a dedicated fireworks viewing boat. The fireworks are launched over the sea, so the boat puts you in the front row, facing the launch area. This is a separate vessel from the daytime Lake Ashi Pirate Ship.
