Thousand-Island Lake

Concealed within the mountains of southeastern New Taipei City, the tranquill reservoir is known for its enchanting expanse of green-colored waters, creating the sensation of stepping into a magical realm. We will take a short hike to reach the observatory deck to see the Crocodile Island. The total length of the hike is 400 meters (approx. 350 yards). It will take 10 minutes to complete. A pair of hiking shoes with good traction is recommended. The trail is not recommended for travelers with walking / mobility issues.

Pinglin Old Street

Known as the hometown of the “Pouchong Tea” in Taiwan. Shops and stores in Pinglin Old Street feature various tea fusion cuisines such as tea mochi, tea steamed buns, tea nougats, tea noodles, tea ice cream, and tea oil. We will have lunch here before we head back to Shifen Waterfall.

Shifen Waterfall

Adjacent to the Shifen Sky Lantern Plaza, the park provides a loop trail to several viewing decks on which the visitors can experience the breathtaking view of the waterfall from different angles. The length of the trail is 1 kilometer (approx. 0.6 miles). It will take 20 minutes to complete. The trail is not recommended for travelers with walking / mobility issues.

Shifen Old Street

The plaza is known for bringing the highlight for Taiwan on the international tourism theme. Every year thousands of tourists come to the plaza to set off sky lanterns, wishing for better fortune to come. Our guide / driver will take you to our partner sky lantern shop so you can purchase a sky lantern at a discounted price.
