What's included, what's not
Inclusions As we presented in the tour description, we will cover all those objectives in 4 hours, without rushing, so that we can enjoy it together and stay with something in our souls afterwards
What you can expect
I am Andrei Neboisa, I am 42 years old, and I am a student at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology ‘Saint Dumitru Stăniloae’ in Iași, and I will have the pleasure of presenting you the two most important Christian objectives in Iasi
I. The Iasi Metropolitan Ensemble, which houses the Metropolitan Cathedral “The Meeting of the Lord” and the Metropolitan Museum.
Within the Metropolitan Cathedral built between 1833 and 1887, we will worship the Holy Relics of the Venerable Saint Parascheva and also the Relics of Saint Metropolitan Joseph the Merciful who completed the construction of the cathedral.
In the courtyard of the Metropolitan Cathedral is the tomb of Ierath, which we will also see. After this, we will go down to the Metropolitan Museum which is located exactly under the Great Church.
The museum houses 3 important elements:- The Synaxarion Hall - where there are several Icons, and old elements that have been used in the Cathedral throughout time.
- The Ecclesia Chapel, where services are held on certain days by the Metropolitan or other priests.
- The Baptistery Hall, also in the basement, which is reached by an interesting route of galleries located under the main church.
II. Church of the Monastery of the Holy Three Hierarchs
The second major objective is the Church of the Monastery of the Holy 3 Hierarchs. Here we will observe a very special church building, which dates back to 1639, and which is very well preserved.
Here the relics of the Holy Pious Parascheva were housed for the first 158 years, and now part of the Relics of Saint Basil the Great and the tombs of 3 Romanian state leaders can still be found here.
III. The third objective of our tour is the famous Palace of Culture, which was used as a royal palace, built in 1925.
Today, the Palace of Culture is the headquarters of the National Museum Complex “Moldova”, which includes the Museum of the History of Moldova which includes:
The Ethnographic Museum of Moldova
The Art Museum
The “Ștefan Procopiu” Museum of Science and Technology;
as well as the Center for the Conservation-Restoration of Cultural Heritage.Within this Palace, we will pay an entrance ticket
Finally, we will say goodbye in the gardens of the palace ruins that are now part of Palas Mall, the largest shopping center in Iasi, right in the heart of Iasi.
Here you can have a meal or enjoy shopping.I look forward to spending time with you,
Andrei
