What you can expect

Explore the south coast and its amazing highlights on this fantastic combo tour with a northern lights tour in the evening.

After being picked up at one of Reykjavik‘s pick up locations the tour will make its way along the south coast and the first scheduled stop is at Seljalandsfoss, a majestic waterfall with a drop of 60 meters. Seljalandsfoss is well known for the option of walking behind the waterfall which, besides making a great experience, has created some fantastic photo opportunities.

Next, it is time to strap on the crampons because it is time for the glacier hike at Solheimajokull glacier. The certified glacier guide will provide you with the crampons and the glacier gear that you will need on this journey, but it is vital that you wear sturdy hiking shoes that have ankle support as well as stiff soles. If you do not own a pair, no need to worry because you can rent a pair on location.

After the glacier adventure it is time to explore the famous Reynisfjara black sand beach as well as Reynisdrangar the basalt sea stacks found in Reynisfjara.
Second waterfall of the day is called Skogafoss. With a fall of 60 meters and width of 25 meters, Skogafoss’s classical shape makes quite a picture. On a sunny day there is a good chance you will be able to spot a rainbow.

You will arrive in Reykjavik at around 19:00 You will have time to have dinner before the Northern Lights's bus will pick you up at your original pickup location.
