We will be taking you through Mumbai, exploring some of the city’s best kept secrets along the way. Visually, this is an impressive tour: you will admire the majestic Banganga Tank, get a one-of-a-kind perspective of Mumbai (and Marine Drive) from the Hanging Gardens, and visit the famous world heritage site Victoria Terminus, as well as the bustling Crawford Market. Dhobi Ghat, the world’s largest open-air laundry, is also conveniently located en route.
To end the morning of exploration and healing, we’ll treat you to a healthy South Indian breakfast and chai of course.
Itinerary
Banganga Tank- Surrounded by Hindu temples, this famous 12th century tank is believed to contain water with special healing powers. Rumour has it that its spring comes from the holy Ganges river.
Kamala Nehru Park- Visit one of Mumbai’s greenest and most peaceful areas on top of Malabar Hill. You won’t believe the eye-popping view out over Marine Drive and the Arabian sea!
Dhobi Ghat- The world’s largest outdoor laundry! See the dhobiwallahs or washermen, scrubbing sheets from Mumbai’s largest hospitals and hotels at this busy outdoor laundry area.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-See the facade of one of the busiest railway stations in the country, and the historical site of the terrorist attacks in November 2008. The final musical number from the award-winning movie, Slumdog Millionaire, was also shot here.
Crawford Market- One of the city’s largest wholesale fruit, vegetable, meat market— and the first building in India to get electricity.
After the tour, you will be transferred to End point of the tour –Regal Cinema from where you can hire a taxi back to your hotel
