What you can expect

Explore some of the most famous sites of Florence’s ancient culture while learning about the mysteries of its past. We’ll take a look at the ancient center of the city, where some of the most interesting secrets are kept. Around the Baptistery, Duomo, and Cathedral, all of which are decorated with elaborate facades and marble panels, you’ll learn about the “Miracle of the Flowering Tree” and the “Bull and the Baker.” Afterwards we will walk near Dante’s home and discuss the infamous Church of Dante and Beatrice. We will then stop and see Palazzo Vecchio, famous for its civil architecture, the location of the guilds, and the Medici family political court.

While in Piazza della Signoria, you will see an open-air museum consisting of many statues including the copy of Michelangelo’s David, as well as many other noteworthy works, including the often unseen Profile carved by Michelangelo. You will then walk through the wings of the Uffizi Gallery. Following the Arno River, you will walk towards Ponte Vecchio, famous for its gold jewelry shops. The tour ends in front of Palazzo Pitti. It is the best way to experience the famous sites of Florence while also hearing about their mysterious pasts.
