What you can expect

Pedal alongside the rolling hills of the Russian River Valley vineyards and enjoy a breath of fresh air on this leisurely bike tour. Follow your guide through Sonoma County on easy country roads to visit a few award-winning wineries where you taste samples of their current vintage.

Check the weather and dress appropriately for a 16-mile (25.7-km) roundtrip bike ride before meeting up with your professional guides at the Hyatt Vineyard Creek Hotel in Santa Rosa. A modern, high-quality hybrid bicycle fitted with a gear rack and insulated wine carrier are provided, along with a helmet. Don’t forget to pack a water bottle, snacks, and sunscreen for a more enjoyable experience. After a brief safety orientation, hop on your bike and follow your guide to the Russian River Valley. Much of the tour is through easy backroads, enabling you to relax and listen to the calming streams while taking in the magnificent views of vineyards that stretch across the rolling hills.

Tour stops vary, but you are guaranteed to visit a couple award-winning estates featuring their latest vintage. Take your time to roam around the estates as you taste their wine and relax in the peaceful settings. Wine tasting fees are usually waived, but be sure to bring some cash just in case. If you purchase a case of wine from an estate, they can make accommodations to ship your order. The tour concludes with a return trip back to the Hyatt Vineyard Creek Hotel.
