The construction of the Grand Islamic mausoleum in Rabat took place from 1961 to 1971, shortly after the passing of King Mohammed V in 1961. This magnificent mausoleum was conceived by the Vietnamese architect Nguyen Viet Thu and brought to life by skilled Moroccan artisans and craftsmen. It showcases remarkable Islamic architectural elements and boasts intricate marble detailing. The tombs, crafted from white onyx, are located beneath a spacious dome.
Hassan Tower

The construction of both the mosque and the tower commenced in the 12th century under the rule of the Almohad leader, Yacoub al-Mansour.
