Know before you book

What you can expect

  • This day trip begins with hotel pickup at your hotel in Quito. Meet your guide and drive in a vehicle towards the Termas de Papallacta Spa. On the way there, pass through the valley of Tumbaco and admire the scenery. Reach Papallacta Hot Springs, just in the southeast side of the Cayambe-Coca Ecological Reserve and enjoy its wonderful thermal water pools and healthy massages!

    First you and your guide will enjoy a 1.5-hour walk to a cloud forest reserve where you can admire the beauty of nature rich in flora and fauna or you can visit a reserve which is a paradise for hummingbird lovers and photographers. Seeing 14 species of hummingbirds within an hour is not uncommon, and the Sword-billed hummingbird with it's unique, the long bill is sure to amaze you. ( choose one of the options) After hiking or hummingbirds watching, you will go back to the thermal waters Spa and enjoy a delicious bath taking advantage of the medicinal benefits that these springs offer. Relax and unwind taking in the wonderful surroundings.

    You will then drive back to Quito.
