Day 1: Mitad del Mundo, Pululahua & Mindo Cloud Forest Set out from your hotel for the ride to Ciudad Mitad del Mundo, where you can see the towering Monument to the Equator on the plaza built to mark the divide between the hemispheres. Stop at the Intiñan Museum for a chance to try experiments that are supposedly only possible on the equator, and then check out the Ethnographic Museum for an overview of the distinct cultures who arose nearby.

Next, get a look at the incredible landscape of the Pululahua Geobotanical Reserve. Visit the volcanic caldera of Pululahua Crater, and admire the lush forested ridges, before you move on to Mindo Cloud Forest in the afternoon. Here, you can explore the lush collection of plant and animal life on the Andes' western slopes before you check into your lodge for the night.

Day 2: Mindo Cloud Forest & Return to Quito For your second day, you have plenty of time to admire the sights under the canopy of this beautiful jungle setting. Get to know the incredible biodiversity and see why the area is renowned as a birdwatcher's paradise before you depart in the afternoon for the ride back to Quito.
