What you can expect

Enjoy the sights of Manila from a colorful Jeepney on this guided tour of the city's highlights. With stops at landmarks like Rizal Park, Intramuros, San Agustin Church, and La Loma, this tour gives you an insightful look at the capital of the Philippines.

Get picked up from your hotel by your guide in a Jeepney, a vibrantly painted vehicle commonly used as public transportation in Manila. As you set off, learn how the vehicles came into fashion after being adapted from surplus World War II military jeeps. Your tour takes you through the modern Makati district and Ayala Avenue to your first stop at Rizal Park. Named after national hero Dr. Jose Rizal, the park enshrines the man's remains and is a popular attraction.

Continue your tour into the historic walled city of Intramuros and visit Fort Santiago, which was built to defend the city from sea attacks. Your guide also takes you to San Agustin Church, where you can see a number of religious artifacts from ancient and modern times. After learning about the history of Intramuros, cross the Pasig River and stop at the Chinese Cemetery, which is filled with elaborate, home-sized tombs and mausoleums.

As your day draws to a close, visit a bustling market in a side street of La Loma. Browse stalls packed with local dishes, including mouthwatering roasted pigs, and take the opportunity to sample the tempting wares. Conclude your tour with a final drive down the flower-laden street of Dimasalang and the Quiapo highway, passing the Shrine of the Black Nazarene along the way.
