Hirakata is a city located between Osaka and Kyoto. In its eastern area lies Mt. Kunimi, a popular hiking destination among locals. Mt. Kunimi and the surrounding hills jut out into the plains that stretch from Kyoto to Osaka, offering a panoramic view of more than 180 degrees from the summit. The trail to the top is full of variety, passing through residential neighborhoods, natural parks, along mountain streams, and through cedar groves. Not only can you enjoy the beauty of nature, but you’ll also feel a sense of historical romance as you walk through areas where mountain castles once stood. Embark on a refreshing and invigorating outdoor adventure! [Schedule] ・Walk from JR Tsuda Station to the Mt. Kunimi trailhead while enjoying the local streets ・Hike up Mt. Kunimi (approx. 80 minutes one way, including breaks) ・Descend the mountain and disband at JR Tsuda Station
