What you can expect
Join a personal guided tour and discover 2 spectacular colonial cities on an immersive tour. This full-day excursion takes you to the picturesque Izamal and Valladolid and includes a visit to a cacao factory and tequila factory.
After picking you up from your hotel, we will head to the Magical Town Izamal, located in the heart of Yucatan peninsula. There you will visit the vestiges of a religious center that features 5 Pre-Columbian structures, including a great pyramid to the Maya sun god, Kinich Kak Moo. Then, we will walk through the narrow streets of Izamal, also known as The Yellow City since most of the buildings are painted with the same yellow tonality. Explore the impressive Convent of St. Anthony of Padua, a Franciscan monastery with 75 arcades that enclose a massive 2-acre (7,806-sq-m) atrium.
Continue with a visit to Valladolid and check out the colonial architecture of churches like the Cathedral of San Gervasio. Then, you will have an opportunity to wonder on your own and enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. After that you will visit the cacao factory where you will know about the process of chocolate and you will taste cocoa in various ways. Then a beautiful 18 Century boutique of artisanal perfumes. On the way back to your hotel we will visit tequila factory where you will taste this mexican famous drink.
