Proceed for lively Mohommad Ali Road area famous for its non-vegetarian delicacies. To start with BhelPuri of Chawpatti is famous all over India, besides there are many other mouth- watering attractions available at Chowpatty like golas, chat and kulfi. A foodie’s visit to Mumbai is not complete without a stop at Chowpatty Beach – the best place to taste Mumbai’s (vegetarian) favourites such as pav bhaji and pani puri.
Vada pav- Mumbai vegetarian burger, vada pav consists of a spiced mashed potato mixture, which is deep fried into a patty, packed into a white fluffy bun, garnished with a variety of chutneys. Bhel puri-Puffed rice which are mixed together with potatoes, onions, tomatoes, again a variety of chutney, and it’s often topped with a handful of chopped cilantro. Sev Puri-Munch on this classic Mumbai street food over Chowpatty Beach. Sev(thin strips of fried chickpea flour), mixed with potato, herbs, chutneys served on round discs are to die for.
Sample Indian Sweets like hand-churned ice cream in unfamiliar flavours at a 120-year-old shop bright orange jalebi- the national sweet of India made of flour and dipped in sugary syrup has a heavenly taste if you have a sweet tooth. Kulfi- Sample Kulfi, a frozen dairy dessert very similar to ice cream.
Last but not the least visit Mohammed Ali Road- which is epicenter of Ramdan Celebrations, taste the mouthwatering chota kebabs and chicken tikka that pepper the lanes, if you wish to have something non-vegetarian.
