Description

Absorb the awe-inspiring landscapes of Denali National Park from a sky-high vantage point on a sightseeing flight that covers the south, east, and west faces of Alaska's tallest peak. View ancient glaciers from the plane, and then touch down on one of these rivers of ice for an unforgettable high-elevation walk.

After a short safety briefing, climb into the plane and buckle up in one of its comfortable window seats, adjusting your headset as the pilot sets off down the runway and takes off. Head toward the craggy peaks of the Alaska Range, looking out for the towering summits of Mt. Hunter at 14,500 feet (4,419 m) and Mt. Foraker at 17,400 feet (5,303 m), Denali's sister peaks.

Approach one of the expansive glaciers blanketing the slopes of the Alaska Range and touch down on its snowy surface. Get out of the plane for the opportunity to walk across this massive river of ice, soaking in the rugged beauty of the surrounding mountain scenery before hopping back in the plane to fly back to Talkeetna.

This was the highlight of our cruisetour to Alaska. Jonathan was an excellent pilot and tour narrator. I made the reservation online and the entire process was seamless. Office staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this tour.
