Head directly to Mount Etna, the highest in Europe with its 3.403 meters, as well as UNESCO site since 2013 and decide which altitude you wish to reach. Departure by bus with tour leader and arrival at the Etna station at 1.900 meters. Stop for about 3 hours with the possibility of soft trekking visiting the most recent lava flows and the Silvestri craters, now extinct. Possibility to have lunch or buy snacks at a local restaurant. Optional ascent to the area of the summit craters at about 2.800 meters with the assistance of licensed guides of the CAI (Italian Alpine Club). Stop to admire the eventual activity of the summit craters in a safety zone. Return around 4.00 PM.

The high-altitude ascents are not indicated for people with heart disease, asthmatics and pregnant women.
The ascents to Etna’s authorized crater areas are always escorted by guides of the CAI (Italian Alpine Club), who are responsible for the safety of the travellers and are subordinated to the decisions of the relevant authorities in relation to the daily changes of volcanic activity that affect the altitude reached.
