What you can expect

Take a scenic tour and get away from the walls of your hotel to discover why Jamaica is the number one Caribbean destination. This tour takes you on a scenic journey around the city of Montego Bay where you will learn the history that surrounds the tourist capital from as early as 1494.

Visit Sam Sharpe square, which acquires its name from one of our national heroes who was executed for his role in the 1831–32 Emancipation War. The square boasts many historic spots; namely the civic center, the cage, and monuments of our national heroes. Visit the Montego Bay Civic Center, which houses the Museum and Art gallery of St. James and traces the history of St James parish, from the Arawak era to the present day. Stop briefly at the St. James Parish church over 200 years old, set on a classic greet cross shape. As elaborate 1911 stained glass window highlights the memorials to important figures in the history of Montego Bay.

The tour continues passing residential community to the colonial ruin restored in the 1960’s known as the Rose Hall Great House. The Great House was the home Annie Palmer (The witch) who has been dead for more than a century but she still stirs memories of her reign as the mistress of the Rose Hall Great House. Take a few minutes to grab a few souvenirs whether you are looking for the famous Blue Mountain coffee or the Jamaican rum, you will find something for everyone.
