Description

Cruise past the waterfront estates of Seattle's technology and business trailblazers during this guided tour of Lake Washington. Board our boats to explore the exclusive neighborhoods, and check out engineering marvels like the world’s longest floating bridges.

Make your way to Kirkland on the Eastside and step aboard a spacious vessel at the docks near downtown. Grab a drink and snack from the full-service bar located inside if you’d like, and settle in on one of the indoor or outdoor viewing decks. Learn about the communities on the shores of Lake Washington as you take in the evergreen beauty of Washington’s second-largest freshwater lake. Check out the grand mansions of Bellevue, Kirkland, and Medina, keep your eyes peeled as you drift by Bill and Melinda Gates’ estate, and pass under the brand-new Evergreen Point floating bridge (SR 520)—the longest floating bridge in the world.

Admire panoramic views of lakeside properties as you drift across the glittering blue waters, listening as your captain shares stories from Seattle’s early years and interesting history about the recent growth of the dynamic Eastside. Be sure to bring your camera to snap photos along the way before you make your way back to the dock in Kirkland.

The weather was beautiful and the lake gorgeous The young man narrating the cruise did an excellent job. But the passengers not only talked over him, but shouted over him and constantly changed seats. It was disappointing to us to not be able to hear his entire lecture. Perhaps some ground rules could be laid out at the beginning of the tour: if you want to listen, stay inside. If you want to party and drink, make yourselves at home on the outer decks.
