Activity itinerary
Lauterbrunnen Village
- 15m
Lauterbrunnen is situated in one of the most impressive trough valleys in the Alps, between gigantic rock faces and mountain peaks. With its 72 thundering waterfalls, secluded valleys, colourful alpine meadows and lonely mountain inns, the Lauterbrunnen Valley is one of the biggest nature conservation areas in Switzerland.
Staubbach Waterfall
- 15m
Lauterbrunnen's landmark and Switzerland's highest freefalling waterfall can be explored during summer season from behind by way of a purposely-built rock gallery. During the high season, the waterfall is illuminated in the evening. The Staubbachfall inspired Goethe to write his poem «The song of ghosts over waters».
Murren
- 1h
Mürren – a former settlement of people from the Lötschen valley in the Valais, which still remains recognisable today from the design of the houses and the pronunciation of the Mürren dialect – is the highest, continually inhabited village settlement in the canton of Bern and lies on a terrace at 1650 metres, high above the Lauterbrunnen valley. A double-cable ropeway leads up onto the plateau from Lauterbrunnen, while a cableway runs from Stechelberg, past turbulent waterfalls and craggy rock faces, into the centre of the car-free village of Mürren, and further to the Schilthorn at 2970 metres.
Gimmelwald
- 30m
The arrival alone is spectacular – a cable-car takes you high over the rocks to Gimmelwald (1400 m). The intact, pedestrian, Alpine village with its 13 farms and many houses decorated with an array of flowers, has maintained its original character. Above all, families and young people from all corners of the world come together here.
Trummelbach Falls
- 1h
- Admission ticket not included
The Trümmelbach Falls are the world's only glacier waterfalls that are accessible underground by lift, galleries, tunnels, paths and platforms. They alone carry the meltwater of the glaciers from the Jungfrau down to the valley - up to 20,000 liters of water per second. The water carries with it over 20,000 tons of boulders and scree per year and causes the entire mountain to shudder and make a thundering noise.
Grindelwald
- 45m
The Eiger village of Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland lies embedded in a welcoming and green hollow, surrounded by a commanding mountainscape with the Eiger north face and the Wetterhorn. This mountainscape and the numerous lookout points and activities make Grindelwald one of the most popular and cosmopolitan holiday and excursion destinations in Switzerland, and the largest ski resort in the Jungfrau region.
Iseltwald
- 30m
shore of Lake Brienz in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland. Renowned for its serene beauty and stunning turquoise waters, it offers a tranquil escape amidst a dramatic alpine backdrop. The village gained recent international fame as a filming location for the popular K-drama "Crash Landing on You," drawing visitors to its iconic pier and charming lakeside setting.
Giessbach Falls
- 1h
The Giessbach brook tumbles in 14 stages, over a length of 500 meters and out of the high valleys of the Faulhorn area down to Lake Brienz. Historic Grand Hotel Giessbach is located at the foot of this nature spectacle. The hotel is accessible by means of Europe's oldest funicular.
Aare Gorge
- 45m
- Admission ticket not included
The Aare Gorge is a 1,400 m long and 200 m deep natural wonder. It takes around 45 minutes to walk through the imposing gorge – an easy and safe walk along walkways and through tunnels. With its constant cool temperature, the Aare Gorge is naturally refreshing – making it an ideal destination for a beautiful sunny day. When it rains, the gorge is very impressive with its mystical atmosphere and, at parts, large stretches of water.
Interlaken
- 15m
Interlaken is a popular resort town in the Bernese Oberland region of central Switzerland, nestled between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. It is world-renowned as an adventure sports capital (paragliding, canyoning, river rafting) and as a gateway to the spectacular Jungfrau Region. The town offers stunning views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau mountains.
St. Beatus-Hohlen
- 1h
- Admission ticket not included
The St. Beatus Caves high above Lake Thun are a chance to discover a unique underground world. Visitors can explore around one kilometre in the depths of the Niederhorn massif, following a well-designed and safely lit path. As they immerse themselves in this unique subterranean environment, visitors will discover stalactites and stalagmites that have been formed by nature over millions of years.
Grimsel Pass
- 2h
The Grimsel Pass links the Hasli Valley in the Bernese Oberland with Goms in Valais. The pass road runs through a wild, sparsely grown mountainous region marked by granite rocks, reservoir lakes, and power plants.
Sustenpass
- 2h
The Susten Pass links the Reuss Valley at the foot of the Gotthard Mountain with the Hasli Valley in the Bernese Oberland, and the village of Wassen in Canton Uri with Innertkirchen in Canton Bern. The Susten Pass road was only opened in 1945 and is the first pass road to be purpose-built for vehicular traffic.
