What you can expect

Visit one of the most famous trekking routes in the world in this 2-Day program tour and have a taste of the Inca Trail! Discover the impressive archaeological site of WiƱaywayna, traverse a cloud forest and enjoy spectacular views of the Vilcanota River Valley on your way to Machu Picchu.

Day 1: Short Inca Trail

Your adventure starts with an early pickup from your hotel in Cusco and transfer to Ollantaytambo train station. You will have a chance to explore the landscape aboard the Expedition train until we reach Chachabamba, where your will leave the train in order to start our trek. After exploring the stone altar located here, you will start a hike that ascends to WiƱaywayna, an impressive archaeological complex where we will enjoy lunch. After the hike, you will arrive to the Sun Gate, where you will get one of the most impressive views of Machu Picchu. You will enjoy a dinner and spend the night in Aguas Calientes, a small village located on the base of Machu Picchu.

Day 2: Machu Picchu

After an early pickup, you will take a 30-minute ride to Machu Picchu, where your guide will show you the highlights of this ancient wonder. After your guided tour, you will enjoy free time to explore the archaeological site on your own before returning to Ollantaytambo by train. Finally, we will drop you off at your hotel in Cusco.
