Description

Combine a basic lesson in Hungarian with some insight into major Budapest monuments with this introduction to the Magyars and their playfully poetic language. Learn a few key phrases along with helpful pointers about navigating around Budapest, and pick up some insider knowledge of the city.

After an initial introduction session in an informal setting, such as a café near major city monuments, your class teaches you some basic Hungarian greetings and interactions, such as what to say (and not to say) when you're ordering a drink or a meal. You can learn fundamentals like how to count to 5, along with details about the culture, history, and daily life in Hungary.

Throughout the lesson, your teacher shares a bit of insight into Hungary's unique cuisine and lifestyle, some pointers for meeting locals, and suggestions for getting around Budapest in the most efficient ways possible. Armed with your newfound knowledge, you can impress locals during your visit and your friends when you return home.

If you choose to book the optional walking tour, you can follow up your crash course in Hungarian with a stroll through the heart of Budapest. Take a stroll around the shops of Vaci Street, admire views over the castle and hills of Buda from the Danube Promenade, and see Parliament, St. Stephen's Basilica, and Liberty Square.

I booked two sessions and both were great value. Very good intro to Hungarian. Both teachers were excellent and such was their commitment they were prepared to give up more time than was actually booked. Fungarian are also prepared to adjust time/day to suit the tourist. I'll definitely book again when I go to Budapest next.
