Know before you book

  • Get picked up from your hotel in Ao Nang, Krabi Town, Ao Nam Mao, Klong Muang and Tubkaek Beach. The exact pick-up time will be confirmed by email after you have made the booking.
  • If you stay at Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas, please take the hotel shuttle boat to Nopparat Thara Pier in Ao Nang.
  • If you stay at Railay Beach or Tonsai Beach, we will confirm the exact meeting point after you have made the booking.
  • This tour is not recommended for infants under 3 years old, pregnant women or people with back or neck problems.
  • While the monsoon season (roughly May to October) brings increased jellyfish sightings due to water movement, these graceful creatures can appear year-round in the Andaman Sea. To ensure a safe and enjoyable swim, consider asking your tour guide.
  • Ensuring your safety is our top priority. To that end, we strongly recommend wearing a life jacket throughout the entire boat ride to the islands and while snorkeling.

What you can expect

Visit the four superb islands of Hong Island on the Krabi coastline by speed boat in a single day. Explore the “secret” inner lagoon of Koh Hong, Koh Lading, with its sheltered cove that was once used by birds’ nest collectors, and Koh Pakbia, which boast impressive sandbanks and rock formations.

Get picked up by van from your hotel in Krabi, or by speed boat if you stay at Railay. Meet the boat crew of Sea Eagle at Nopparat Thara Pier and start the trip with a cruise to Hong Islands group.

The first stop will be at the main island itself. The half-circle shaped Hong Island is uninhabited, except for the birds, white-faced gibbons and giant monitor lizards that can be often spotted on the main white sand beach. Enjoy a delicious lunch including seasonal fruits and refreshments at the magnificent twin bays of Koh Hong.

Its interior is home to a large lagoon, where you can find yourself at one with nature. The entrance to the lagoon is through a dramatic cliff passage that should be photographed on your way out. If you have booked the kayak option, don't miss to paddle at low tide into the lagoon, as the diminishing water level makes its colour change drastically from a deep emerald green to a clear turquoise.

The trip also includes at least two pretty decent snorkeling stops. The most impressive one is at Lading Island, a small limestone island with high cliffs and sandy sheltered beaches. Continue to Pakbia and Rai Island for taking photos and have a swim at the impressive sandbars revealed at low tide.

Itinerary:

  • 07:40 - 08:45: Hotel pickup in Krabi
  • 08:45 - 09:00: Register at Sea Eagle Tour booth at Nopparat Thara Pier
  • 09:00 - 09:15: Receive a short briefing and instructions from the boat crew
  • 09:15 - 09:30: Cruise by speed boat to Railay Beach to pickup other guests
  • 09:30 - 10:00: Continue to Hong Island group
  • 10:00 - 11:15: Free time for swimming, sunbathing and kayaking at the main island (if option has been booked)
  • 11:15 - 12:00: Climb up to the viewpoint with a 360 degree panorama
  • 12:00 - 12:30: Enjoy a Thai style picnic lunch at the beach of Hong Island
  • 12:30 - 12:50: Cruise into the “secret” Hong Lagoon
  • 12:50 - 13:30: Stop at Pakbia for taking photos of the sandbar
  • 13:30 - 14:15: Continue to Lading Island for swimming & snorkeling
  • 14:15 - 14:45: Return to the pier passing by Daeng Island famous for its reddish color
  • 14:45 - 15:30: Transfer back to your hotel
