What you can expect
Ascend to Golan Heights via Hamat Gader on southern end of Heights, while overlooking the astonishing view of the Sea of Galilee. Stop at a viewpoint over the triangular border between Israel, Jordan and Syria.
Continue to Katzrin, the modern capital of the Golan, alongside the excavated city of the Talmudic period, second to fifth centuries. The museum displays many of the archaeological finds from the Golan, including a Chalcolithic dolmen.
