What you can expect
The French Quarter, Jackson Square, and Louis Armstrong Park all tell tales that have shaped modern-day New Orleans. Glide through these richly historic areas of the city before venturing out along the grand Mississippi River for fantastic photo opportunities.
Your adventure begins with a brief orientation, including instructions for the safe navigation of a Segway personal transporter. Your guide leads you to the French Quarter, a culturally-diverse district that is known for its Mardi Gras festivities and home to some of the oldest architectural structures in the nation.
Wind through Louis Armstrong Park, named in tribute to The Big Easy’s native son and most popular jazz musician. The perfectly manicured gardens are situated in the Tremé neighborhood, the first settlement for “free people of color” who helped give rise to jazz music and some of its most famous performers.
Segway further through diverse neighborhoods and marvel at the colonial-era architecture and monuments to the city’s notable citizens. Your guide shares lesser-told tales of French influence on local culture before wrapping up your tour with a stop on the banks of the mighty Mississippi River.
