Know before you book

  • Basically, age under 6 can not be participated in lesson

What you can expect

Our temple located at one street off from the tourist area. So you will enjoy the quiet and serene atmosphere of our 300-year- old temple.

First we will dress you up with kimono. We have a lot of option of kimono, color and sizes. Choose the one you like!

Then attend tea ceremony. You will learn how to drink the tea with manner and also our lesson include your own tea session. You will learn how to make the Matcha tea with casual style of tea ceremony.

We will take pictures while you take the lessons. You can have all of your pictures by answering our questionnaire.

Finally you will experience calligraphy. Starting with the practice of each lines, then go on to Chinese Character(kanji). We will make the sample of you name with Hiragana/Katakana so that you can sign your work with Japanese. Finally, You have choice to stamp the work . Write on Rice scoop which is Miyajima's lucky item and take the work with you.
