See what is surely the most important art collection in the world, located within more than 1,200 rooms. Your guide covers the most important masterpieces. Highlights include the rooms of Raphael as well as ancient Roman and Greek pieces in the Belvedere Courtyard.

Receive a comprehensive background on the Sistine Chapel from before it was commissioned to the finishing touches, learning to distinguish between truth and legend.

Straight after seeing the Sistine Chapel, you'll be granted direct access to St. Peter's Basilica, skipping the long lines and extra waiting ime - a privilege made available on this particular tour. Outside the magnificent Renaissance church your guide will discuss the history of the Vatican State, it's Swiss Guard, and how St. Peter's Square was designed.

Your guide will also lead you through the underground level referred to as the Vatacombs, a rarely seen area of the Vatican where tombs of the former popes are located, where your tour concludes.

Our guide, Chiara, was wonderful and extremely knowledgeable. Would love to come back and do this tour again. Thank you for a great experience.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and helped us navigate the enormous crowds. The crowds really distracted from the experience. Also, the Vatican had the Vatacombs closed so we were not able to visit them. I would have liked to spend a little more time in the Sistine Chapel. It was fascinating even with the elbow to elbow crowds. I wish we would have spent more and taken the evening tour that Expedia offered. Otherwise, maybe going in mid-November would have been better.
