Description

Enjoy a professionally guided kayak tour on one of Florida's most pristine rivers in the Little Big Econ State Forest, the Econlockhatcheee. Get up close to the natural wonders that make Central Florida a popular kayaking and canoeing destination.

Escape bustling Orlando and paddle 8 miles (12 km) through the moss-covered cypress trees of the Little Big Econ Forest. You’ll begin at the upper portion of the river where the turns are tight, then continue down the gradually widening, relaxed waterway.

Wildlife, amazing scenery, and endless photo opportunities present themselves on this tour. Encounter river otters, bald eagles, red shoulder hawks, flocks of large wading birds, and of course, alligators.

Nibble on a light picnic-style lunch at the Boy Scout Bridge on the Florida Trail. Paddle back in serenity and peace as the ancient cypress, live oaks, and pine trees shade you from the hot southern sun.

Greg from Adventures in Florida greeted us, made us feel welcome and introduced is to our guide for the trip. Jeff was our Awesome guide. My girlfriend was brand new to kayaking as she had never been in one before and doesn't swim. Jeff went over the basics, made sure our gear was secured and placed us in the river while coordinating with the other experienced kayakers. At every turn Jeff was there to help us traverse the more difficult spots. He pointed out wildlife, and explained many things about the river. I couldn't be more pleased with Adventures in Florida kayaking. Thanks Jeff and Greg!
