What you can expect
Experience the natural and inspiring beauty of Niagara Falls from American side on this 4 hour guided tour. This tour ventures through the oldest state park in America, The Niagara Falls State Park (est. 1885), designed by the famous Frederick Law Olmstead. On this tour you will visit two of Niagara Falls' most impressive attractions: Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds. At the historic Maid of the Mist, you will throw on a blue poncho and ride into the heart of the Horseshoe Falls. At Cave of the Winds, strap on your white, blue and green sandals and walk the decks where you can reach out and touch the water of the American and Bridal Veil Falls. For the brave, walk all the way up to the Hurricane Deck and get drenched by the cascade of the Bridal Veil. While in Prospect Park, you will stand a top the NYS Observation Deck, a 200 feet tower that extends out over the Niagara Gorge and offers a view of all three waterfalls that is truly amazing. Across the park on Goat Island, a small island that divides the American Falls from the Horseshoe, you will visit Terrapin Point and stand at the brink of the Horseshoe Canadian Falls. Just across the way close to the exit of Cave of the Winds is a larger than life statue of Nikola Tesla, founder of Alternating Current and inventor of the Tesla Coil. On the backside of Goat Island are three little islands connected by foot bridges called Three Sister's Islands. In between each forest covered island are small cascading waterfalls. From the third island you will get an awesome view of the Canadian Rapids that flow over the Horseshoe Falls. Eventually you head down river along the Niagara Gorge to Whirlpool State Park, where you will witness a Class 6 rapid crash into a 150 ft deep natural forming whirlpool. Not only is the whirlpool impressive, but the view along the Niagara Gorge, a 180 ft canyon carved 7 miles in length by the erosive Niagara Falls, offers a scenic lookout over the narrow and powerful lower Niagara River that is awe inspiring. On this tour you cover the most impressive locations that Niagara Falls has to offer and allow a visitor to truly experience the natural beauty that is Niagara Falls.
