Description

Glide through enchanting canals just like Venetians of yesteryear with a serene ride in a traditional gondola. As a master gondolier leads you down the Grand Canal and into smaller waterways, soak up the sights of the distinct Gothic buildings and arching bridges that make the city so magical.

Make your way to Campo San Luca, where a gondolier in classic Venetian garb ushers you to a nearby canal to step into a flat-bottomed gondola. Soon, you're floating gracefully out into the expansive Grand Canal, flanked by beautiful arched buildings built in the Venetian Gothic style. Observe the bustle of boat traffic that still makes use of the canal today, and pass beneath the Rialto Bridge for a spectacular perspective on its stone grandeur.

Your peaceful journey also leads you into some of the minor waterways around St. Mark's Square, in which more entrancing sights of Venice await. Peer down alleyways at charming residences and shops, glide past moored private boats, and navigate under small bridges spanning the narrow walkways. As your picturesque ride draws to an end, your gondolier brings you to a convenient drop-off point to continue exploring the city on your own.

We loved our gondola ride in Venice. At first, I thought 30 minutes wouldn’t be enough but it actually was just right. We got the romantic feel, the beautiful sites of the canels and we even got to see a beautiful sunset as we entered the Grand Canel! This is a must when in Venice.

Much cheaper than the other options you see online. There was a large group of us and each of us were split across 3-4 gondolas. So on our gondola, me and husband got the back/head of the gondola nearest to the man rowing. Then there were 2 seats in the middle opposite each other and one other seat on the end of the gondola. Behind us were the others in theirs. Really relaxing and calming, beautiful back streets and corners of Venice. We passed the Rialto bridge and important buildings which were pointed out to us. Sometimes it smelt a bit funny but other than that would definitely recommend. It was just difficult finding the location you collect the tickets from on a random street. Google maps seemed to have diverted us all to random streets.
