Begin your day with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Chiang Rai at 08.30 A.M. Head to the Choui Fong Tea Plantation, where you'll be greeted by endless hills of greenery. Sip on a variety of teas, from oolong to fresh matcha, and enjoy cakes and snacks.
Next, travel to the Golden Triangle, where the borders of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet at the Mekong River. Take in the breathtaking views from the viewpoint and learn about the region's history at the Hall of Opium museum.

Continue to Wat Phra That Doi Pu Khao to see the ruins of an ancient temple believed to have been built by the ruler of Wiang Hirannakhon Ngoen Yang, once the capital of the Lanna kingdom.
Finally, visit Wat Chedi Luang, the largest Lanna-style bell-shaped chedi in Chiang Saen, standing 88 meters tall with a base width of 24 meters. It has a tiered base resembling a lotus petal on an octagonal base. The rear wall with a Buddha image, and one of the front columns remain. A roof has been added to cover the original structure. Inside is enshrined the principle Buddha image Phra Chiang Saen Singha 1.
