What you can expect

We will begin at Boston Harbor with a walk through a scenic park, with views to East Boston and the historic wharfs lining Atlantic Ave. Then we’re off to North Ed, where tasty food is never far away. We’ll visit a small, hidden Italian bakery serving up fresh bread daily, then an Italian salumeria for Italian meats and cheeses. Next up, Hanover Street, where it’s time for a mid-tour break at a traditional Italian café, where we’ll enjoy a hot drink. We’ll take a look at the nearby local church then a taste of pizza awaits at a neighborhood favorite, finishing with samples of the best Italian pastries from the back streets of North End.

Back at the Harbor, we’ll head to the Rose Kennedy Greenway, State Street and the historic Custom House Tower, then onto the famous Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, which both boast stunning views. Moving into the heart of Downtown Boston, we’ll stop in front of the Old State House (site of the Boston Massacre) before hitting Old City Hall . We’ll check out the State House too, taking in views of the city including the skyscrapers of Downtown and the Financial District. Our journey continues through Beacon Hill, where you’ll have a chance to take in the architecture of Boston’s red brick row houses.

Finally, we’ll arrive at the beautiful Boston Public Garden, one of Boston’s favorite green spaces. Your tour ends here.

Bob was an excellent host and guide! I really recommend this tour for others. Only thing I would change is the fact that we didn't end up near the point we started at and we had to walk a bit farther back to our vehicle.

We had a great time with Ellie. She was knowledgeable, informative, warm and personable. Just the right amount of walking, tasty food along the way, and small group atmosphere made this tour ideal for my family’s first trip to Boston. Thanks Ellie and Urban Adventures
