Description

Hit the pavement to explore the sights, sounds, and intoxicating flavors of Nassau on a guided food tour through the city’s charming historic center. Sample 6 local specialties as you follow your intrepid and charismatic guide from one beloved eatery to the next.

Head out of busy downtown to explore the byways and backstreets off of Bay Street in search of authentic Bahamian savors and flavors. Your experienced and food-loving tour guide leads you between specialty food shops, mom-and-pop cafes, and long-standing Nassau establishments.

Taste 6 regional dishes and street food-style plates, including Bahamian classics at a downhome eatery, Greek specialties at a landmark restaurant in town, a typical conch shack at downtown Nassau’s very own colorful “fish fry”,, organic truffles from an award-winning chocolatier, and the uniquely Caribbean dessert of fresh-baked rum cakes.

Along the way, listen to fascinating commentary about the city’s colonial architecture, vibrant culture, and storied past. Meet and interact with shop owners, chefs, and restaurateurs as you get a feel for the day-to-day food scene in this lively capital city, and leave your tour with a full stomach and plenty of suggestions for continuing your flavor-fueled exploration of Nassau.

This was a great tour! My husband and I went on this tour yesterday and very much enjoyed it. Mark was a great guide! The food was yummy and we learned a lot about the history of the Bahamas as well as the history of each of the restaurants that we visited which was very interesting l Highly recommend!
