What you can expect

Spend a day traveling through rubber tree plantations, quiet back roads and dirt tracks on this biking tour. The country just north of Phuket suits biking perfectly, being that it is a flat, quiet rural area. You will spend time at a Sea Turtle Sanctuary, take great delight with a refreshing swim at a lovely waterfall and have a delicious lunch at a beach side restaurant overlooking the sea. This tour will never be more than 16 people, which allows for greater attention and personalized service from the experienced, professional staff. Furthermore, the group will always be followed by a Support Vehicle (apart from the off road sections when the bus is never too far away).

Thai Muang is a small Thai coastal town on the Andaman Coast north of Phuket. Despite having a great coastline, deserted beaches, National Parks and waterfalls in the vicinity it is very much overlooked by most tourists, except those who simply bypass the area moving between Khao Lak and Phuket.

It is the quiet unhurried pace of life in this small Thai town and the nearby villages that makes this such a fantastic place to see. This area is excellent for a biking tour, as the terrain is mostly flat and not too challenging at all.

After being collected from your Phuket hotel between about 7:15am to 8:30am (depending on location), you'll soon be cycling over Sarasin Bridge, which links the island of Phuket with the mainland Province of Phang Nga and shortly thereafter away from the traffic on quiet back roads and dirt trails through rubber tree plantations and farmland admiring some great ocean views of the Andaman Sea.

The morning ride is a very reasonable total of 30kms. filled with fun and fascination. A beach side restaurant is the perfect spot for a rest and to take lunch followed by a visit to a Sea Turtle Sanctuary. Welcome relief is another 18kms. further along you when you come to a lovely waterfall upon which you'll have time for a swim to cool down.

The afternoon ride is on-road with a few gentle hills thrown in. The bike tour is followed throughout the day by our mini bus Support Vehicle, so that if at any point a rider gets a little tired they can put their feet up in the bus whilst still enjoying the same views as everyone else.

Depending on its location in Phuket, you should be back at your hotel between about 5:00pm to 6:00pm.
