This half-day tour of London allows you to experience its most famous and important attractions. In just a few hours, you will see what makes this ancient metropolis so great on a global scale.

After meeting your guide at the meeting point early in the morning, you will advance to see the city’s landmarks. Following this, you will cross Westminster Bridge to the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey, one of the most historic buildings in London and the setting for royal coronations, weddings, and burials. Afterwards, you will continue through Parliament Square, before heading down Whitehall towards the Cenotaph War Memorial. Just after that, you will see one of the most popular tourist spots in London, the mounted soldiers at Horse Guards. You will walk through the central arch into the parade grounds at the back, one of the finest sights in London.

You will continue your tour down Whitehall until you reach Trafalgar Square and Nelson’s Column. When you reach the north side of the square, you will see the National Gallery, London’s premier art gallery with over 2000 works dating from 1260 onward. Some of the artists on display are Botticelli, Cézanne, Constable, Monet, Rembrandt, Renoir, Titian, Turner, and Van Gogh.

You will then head through Admiralty Arch and walk up the mall towards Buckingham Palace. You will have the opportunity to take pictures outside and listen to the history of the palace, which has served as the official London residence of the UK’s sovereigns since 1837 and is currently the administrative headquarters of the Queen. Your tour will continue with a walk through Green Park, one of four “royal” parks in central London that is officially owned by the sovereign. Your guide will then take you to London’s biggest shopping streets. You’ll pass the Ritz Hotel and Fortnum & Mason, one of the most famous shops on Piccadilly that was founded in 1707 by William Fortnum and Hugh Mason.
