The best way to experience Niagara Falls is to experience it from both sides of the border. In Niagara Falls USA you will experience the power and natural beauty of the Falls. From a boat ride into the heart of the Horseshoe Canadian Falls aboard the historic Maid of the Mist, to walking the decks below The American and Bridal Veil Falls, the pure power of Niagara can only be experienced on these two attractions. But the USA side of Niagara Falls doesn't just have attractions, surrounding the waterfalls is the oldest state park in America. Established in 1885 and designed by the god father of landscape architecture, Frederick Law Olmstead, the Niagara Falls State Park is divided into two parks, Prospect Park and Goat Island. From Prospect Park you will enjoy a view from the NYS Observation Deck, and board the Maid of the Mist. Goat Island offers breathe taking views of the brink of the Horseshoe Falls at Terrapin Point, up close views of the Canadian Rapids from Three Sister's Islands, and is home to a larger than life statue of the world's most important inventor, Nikola Tesla.
From the Canadian side of the Niagara Falls, you will enjoy the postcard view of the waterfalls. You will take the elevator up the outside of the Skylon Tower which offers you a sky high view from above the waterfalls. On a clear day you can see the skyline of Toronto, 30 miles across Lake Ontario to the north, and to the south, you will see the skyline of Buffalo, NY, 15 miles south at the mouth of the Niagara River. From the Canadian side you will experience the Niagara Gorge, a 180 ft canyon that stretches 7 miles in length, created by the erosive Niagara Falls. Along the gorge you will stop at Souvenir City, which offers the best souvenirs around, The Floral Clock, the natural forming Whirlpool from the Niagara Glenn and pass the Sir Adam Beck power stations.
