Tread the hallowed ground where the Twin Towers once stood in remembrance of the catastrophic events of September 11th, 2001. Guided by a New Yorker with a personal connection to 9/11, hear personal stories as well as tales of heroism and courage from that fateful day. Finally, if you upgrade to our Skip Line Museum tickets not available elsewhere, you will save time with entry.
Begin at St. Paul’s Chapel, which miraculously survived the collapse of two buildings just a block away. On 9/11, the church was used a makeshift rescue center and its iron fence became a bulletin board where family members posted notices about their missing loved ones. Walk over to the fire station nearest to Ground Zero, and hear touching stories about the emergency responders at the Firefighter’s Memorial Wall.
From there, enter the National September 11 Memorial for a moment of solemnity, paying your respects to those who lost their lives in the deadliest foreign attack on American soil in history. The Memorial’s twin reflecting pools are each nearly an acre (0.4 hectare) in size and feature the largest man-made waterfalls in the North America. Sitting in the footprints of the Twin Towers, the pools’ edges are inscribed with the names of every victim of the attacks.
From this vantage point, you can see the newly completed One World Trade Center just steps away. Stay as long as you wish at the Memorial or opt to pre-book our exclusive timed tickets for the 9/11 Museum. Your guide offers an overview of what to expect, but the Museum visit is unguided so you can explore at your own pace.
