Discover the natural wonders and historic sites of Ephesus, Cappadocia, and Pamukkalie on this 4-day excursion.
Day 1
Catch a lift from your hotel in Istanbul to catch a flight across the country to Kayseri, where you can meet up with your guide and head out of town to the intriguing rock formations around Cappadocia's Devrent Valley. Make up your own mind about what these mushroom-shaped natural stacks look like, try your hand at making traditional pottery in Avanos, and then scope out the views from the lofty grounds around Uchisar Castle.
Day 2
After breakfast at your hotel, cruise out to the rock-carved rooms of the Hallac Hospital Monastery, explore underground chambers of a subterranean city at Kaymakli, and keep your eyes peeled for fluttering kits in the aptly named Pigeon Valley. Save time in the evening by boarding a spacious overnight bus bound for Pamukkale.
Day 3
Learn about the volcanic forces that fuel countless hot springs and glowing white limestone formations during your day in Pamukkale. Take a dip in the thermal baths, investigate exhibits at an archaeological museum, and check into your hotel for a scrumptious dinner and comfortable night's sleep.
Day 4
Take a scenic drive to Ephesus, listening as your guide shares fascinating commentary about the ancient history of this famous city. When you reach this former Ionian League city, take time to wander around the marble remains of classic Greek edifices, snap photos of the minaret standing tall beside the Isa Bey Mosque, and learn why the Temple of Artemis is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World on a quick side trip to the Ephesus Archaeological Museum. In the evening, grab a convenient ride to Izmir to catch your flight back to Istanbul.
