What you can expect

  • Summary

Yunishigawa is well-known as a hot spring town in a remote valley in the mountains. The town is also famous for being the place that the samurai Taira fled to after being defeated in battle by Minamoto in the 12th century.

This festival was held for the first time more than 20 years ago and has been designated by the Japanese government as one of the most beautiful night views in Japan.

Great View Along the River

We'll have lunch in an igloo and walk around the festival. Then, when it gets dark, we'll go out to see the beautiful night view along the river.

Open-Air Onsen

There is an open-air riverside onsen in the ryokan we'll be staying at. This onsen was discovered about 400 years ago.

Stay in Nice Traditional Ryokan

The ryokan we'll stay at has lots of Japanese antiques and they provide nice local food.
