What you can expect

Set out for the definitive tour of Ireland, an 11-day journey that takes you to every corner of the island. From the stone columns of the Giant's Causeway to the ancient beehive huts on the Beehive peninsula, you can explore the country's ancient history, turbulent past, and spectacular sights.

It all starts when you meet your guide and head north from Dublin, with a look at the high Celtic crosses at Monasterboice on your way into Belfast. Explore Northern Ireland's capital city and around the base of the Glens of Antrim. On day 2, check out one of the filming sites for Game of Thrones in Ballintoy, the natural wonder of the Giants' Causeway, and the ancient stronghold of Dun Luce Castle.

Day 3 gives you some free time in Derry, and then takes you to Donegal for a look at the ancient stone fortresses of the Grianan of Aileach and Donegal Castle. Spend 2 nights in Mount Falcon for plenty of time exploring the area's dramatic coastline and wilderness, head to Westport for a look at one of Ireland's most attractive small towns, or visit Killary Harbour to see Ireland's only fjord.

On day 6, you can admire the sights of Galway Bay and relax ahead of the ferry ride across the River Shannon into County Clare. Spend some time in Dingle town on days 7 and 8 and visit the peninsula for a look at the westernmost point in Ireland, and set out on day 9 to see Killarney National Park and the country's highest mountains.

A ride south on day 10 shows you the beautiful, secluded Beara Peninsula, where you can see the Bronze Age relic of the Uragh Stone circle and one of the most scenic drives in Ireland at Healy Pass. Check out the ruined castles at Dunboey and the Italian formal gardens Garinish Island, or go seal-spotting in Glengarriff. Your last day takes you to the famous Blarney Stone, through Cork, Ireland's second city, and to the magnificent Rock of Cashel on your way back to Dublin.
