What you can expect

  • This is a 22km ride. Your day begins in the historic town of Clyde. Upon arrival, you will be professionally fitted to your premium e-bike, receive a trail safety briefing, and access your route on the exclusive CCT Ride Guide App.

    Begin your easy-paced, self-guided E-bike ride following the bright blue waters of the Clutha Mata-au River. You will travel toward the town of Alexandra, passing historic gold mining areas, vineyards, tall trees, and classic Central Otago river views.

    Take your time to explore Alexandra and stop at a local cafe or restaurant for lunch, coffee or a beer. After your break, you will begin your return journey to Clyde riding on the famous Otago Central Rail Trail, New Zealand's original Great Ride.

    This easy loop route combines beautiful river paths, historic railway trails, vineyards and charming local towns.
