Begin your adventure by boarding a private motorized outrigger boat, a traditional jukung, and set off to explore the most spectacular underwater sites across the three Gilis.
Arrive at the hauntingly beautiful Nest Statues, located just off the coast of Gili Meno. Snorkel around one of the most famous underwater art installations in the world. Created by renowned sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor, “The Nest” consists of 48 life-sized human figures arranged in a circle. Over time, it has transformed into an artificial reef, encrusted with soft corals and hosting schools of tropical fish.
Next, head to Turtle Point, where the water is so clear that you can easily spot green sea turtles and hawksbill turtles gliding gracefully through the water or resting on the ocean floor. Because this is a private tour, your captain will guide you to quieter pockets of the reef, allowing you to swim alongside these gentle giants in peace.
Then, head to Gili Air to explore a vibrant underwater garden. This spot is famous for its rare blue coral (Heliopora coerulea) and an abundance of marine biodiversity. Find yourself surrounded by thousands of colorful damselfish, clownfish darting in and out of anemones, and intricate coral formations that look like an underwater forest.
Around midday, your captain will dock the boat on the shores of either Gili Air or Gili Meno. Step off the boat onto powdery white sand, stretch your legs, and enjoy a delicious lunch at a beachfront restaurant. Savor fresh grilled seafood, authentic Indonesian Nasi Goreng, or a refreshing young coconut while looking out at the glittering ocean.
