Victoria Falls Bridge The historic Victoria Falls Bridge is one of the highlights near the falls. Built in 1905, it was part of Cecil Rhodes’ ambitious plan to connect Cape Town to Cairo by rail. The bridge stretches 156 meters across the Batoka Gorge, linking Zambia and Zimbabwe, and sits just downstream from the mighty falls. The Zambian side of Victoria Falls offers a closer and more intimate experience of the natural wonder. While it showcases about 25% of the falls, it provides thrilling viewpoints where guests can truly feel the power of the Zambezi River. Highlights include: Knife-Edge Bridge – one of the most dramatic viewpoints, where you may walk through mist and rainbows with the falls thundering just meters away. Boiling Pot – a viewpoint at the bottom of the gorge, where the Zambezi River swirls into a massive whirlpool.
