THUNDER EGGS!
What are Thundereggs? 120 million years ago when Mt Hay was an active volcano, Rhyolite lava would spill over and gases were trapped creating bubble like structures that became filled with semi-precious minerals such as Quartz, Amethyst, Agate and Jasper. Over time, the lava has broken down to reveal egg shaped rocks (or volcanic birthstones) that are ready to be discovered.
